When one is doing public shows, especially the ones that deal with magic, the very best thing anyone could do to stay in the safe side is to buy an insurance for your act. It is not an option. It is a need for goodness sake.

One of the good insurance that some entertainers have has a one million dollar liability. It came from an agent from the Farmers Insurance Group.

Having an insurance is like having a fire extinguisher. It is so much better to have one than not have it at all. You feel safe, protected and covered. One million dollar tops and is quite enough to give you a sleep-heavy night and a wake-up-fresh morning.

It has been said that the Society of American Magicians has the kind of insurance of this type. It is very important that you get an insurance. If you have one or if you are planning to purchase one, make sure that the insurance policy you have a product clause.

This works well just in case you use balloons for your act, or birds for that matter. If one of the audience members happen to take it home with them and they accidentally choke on the balloon or get bitten by the bird, you have nothing to worry about because you are definitely covered.

For your information also, if you have performer’s insurance and you happen to perform a magic act while you were not in your costume, most likely you are not covered.

If you have liability insurance and while you are performing, a child insists that he or she wants to touch or to have one of your props, make sure that you make it clear and known to everyone concerned – as they may be potential witnesses – that you are giving the prop or props to the parent. Hand it over to the parent. Doing so transfers the liability on the hands of the child’s parents.

There are also magic tricks performed by clowns. Currently, it is highly unadvisable – fortunately or unfortunately – for clowns or any performer to hug children or to get close enough unless it is to shake hands.

These days you really cannot be too careful. And being too careful is still the best way to go.

It is best that prior to doing a magic act or any public show for that matter, that you – as a performer – tell all the adults and children in the audience about some specific props that you might be distributing to them during the course of the show. If for example you will be using balloons, announce beforehand that children’s mouths and balloons do not mix.
Doing so keeps you from any liability and your audience safe from choking unnecessarily.

One performer has an existing one million dollar liability, it also includes five hundred thousand dollars worth of product liability. The insurance also covers any event wherein the performer and his or her employee is entertaining. However, it does not cover any contractors that are independent from the performer which the performer has hired. If the performer needed to hire someone outside, the performer always requested for an ‘additional insured’ from the insurance company.

Make sure though that once you get an insurance, that insurance company should be able and willing to give you a rider that will be able to cover you if in case you are working or need to work off premises and on a particular client’s house, business office, facility, or any other area that is different from where you regularly and usually work in. It is a standard item and there should not be that much fuss over it. Any good insurance company should be able to do it.

All you need to do is be persistent. It is an item that is almost always considered a standard on many insurance policies.

Todavía cuenta con los lugares exóticos, los increíbles autos, mujeres hermosas pero sin el tono irreal que contaban otros James Bond.

Aquí sin duda James Bond es mucho más sadista, quien se convierte en un asesino de sangre fría con poca simpatía por los demás trayendo una actitud dura y audaz la cual David Craig la personifica excelente.

También es importante mencionar el juego de poquer del final en el Casino Royale, igual de entretenido que los momentos de acción del principio de la película.

La actuación de la actriz francesa Eva Grin también ha convertido a la chica Bond en alguien difícil de descifrar quien atrapa al agente desenvolviéndose en la trama con un final inesperado. Podrás ver al final de la película un lado de Bond que no piensas que existe en el, ni creías que verías durante toda la trama.

One of the most challenging tasks for a speaker is the persuasive presentation – where you want to have audience change their thinking or act in a way you ask. Every persuasive presentation can be addressed by following these eight steps.

1. Establish Your Credibility
People are overloaded with information and relentlessly assaulted by attempts to entice them; so, you need to give them a reason to pay attention to you. This might be your own experience, research you have conducted or established authorities that you draw from.

2. Show Your Awareness
As well as being credible on a particular subject, you also need to show your understanding of the situation today.

Establishing these first two points could be done in one sentence. For example, “I have seen thousands of students progress through this institution over the past ten years and never have I seen such demands on their time.”

3. Describe the Problem
Explain what you believe the problem is. Make it relevant to the audience with graphic descriptions of problematic situations. Keep these descriptions pertinent with introductory phrases like, “This affects you by… ” or “What this means for you is… “. People are very enticed by the status quo, coddled inside their comfort zone. You need to create an incentive strong enough to move them beyond this. The problem might just be that they could miss out on an opportunity that you are aware of.

4. Explain the Solution
While you should be brutally honest and suitably vivid about the problems; you should not dwell on them. Move quickly to describing your solution.

5. Define the Cost
There is always a cost. It might be financial, a time commitment, even just a change of mindset. Be honest and realistic about this cost so you have control of how it is perceived. Put it in perspective with comparisons or breakdowns. For example, “It will cost you less than the cost of your morning coffee” or “Only one minute a day, that’s all I’m asking for.”

6. Describe the Benefits
Just like you were graphic with describing the problem, be equally graphic when you describe the benefits they will receive in your desired future. Put clear, relevant images in the minds of your audience. As Dr Noel Tichy (Professor of Management, University of Michigan) says, “The best way to get humans to venture into unknown terrain is to make
that terrain familiar and desirable by taking them there first in their imaginations.”

7. Provide the First Step
Once you have convinced them of their need to act, you have to tell them what to do. Make the first step of this process very easy, and if possible, something they can do now. You need to get them to act as quickly as possible – while they are still persuaded by your presentation and before they are distracted by something else.

Writing Articles Is More Than Just Stringing Words Together

Over the years, I’ve written a number of articles, and as a voracious reader I read more than my fair share, at least as many or more than I’ve written. Now then, I am somewhat bothered by what I’ve observed for a number of reasons, and if you have a few moments I would like to speak with you from my perspective, observations, and experience in these matters.

You see, I’ve seen the good, bad, and ugly. I understand the allure of the digital realm, and the need to produce content for the Internet at a rapid rate, but that doesn’t mean the online article author community has to degrade itself with choppy content, with no personality, and absolutely boring words strung together. Yes, I know that not everyone is a great writer. In fact, I’m not even a great writer, even considering the amount of content I have produced. I daresay I am quite a bit better than I was when I started, which I suppose comes with the territory.

It’s not easy being an online article writer or a content producer, nor is it easy being a novelist, poet, or e-book author. It takes time to develop the skills and talent to make compelling arguments, and to write worthy content. Speaking of which there was an interesting article in the July-August Issue of Poets & Writers Magazine there was an article titled “First Fiction 2011” which had an interesting paragraph in it on page 44. The article stated;

“There’s obscene pressure on writers to be the next hot young thing… But let’s be honest: most hot young things have nothing of value to say. They haven’t read enough. It took me 25 years of reading and 12 years of practice to produce a book worthy of being in the world.”

Well, by that article author’s words, a professional author with solid writing skills, good enough to get into Poet and Writers Magazine with their intense editorial standards – he appears to agree with me here. So apparently this is a common problem both online and offline in the print world. When I first started posting articles online, I wasn’t that good, and I can remember legitimate authors trashing newbie online writers such as myself. That really bothered me because I thought to myself; “hey everyone has to start somewhere, how arrogant of those professional writers to attack us online article authors like that.”

Now it appears I’ve come full-circle, and I find camaraderie with those professional writers, no I am still not of their talent level, but I understand. You see, I find there are challenges in the online article venue, and those who are in such a hurry to throw up an ever increasing amount of content. So much so that they let their standards go. Here are some of the challenges I see in the Internet article venue;

1. Software that Creates Derivative Articles
2. Foreign Authors and Writers Who Have Poor Writing Skills
3. Article Writers who Re-write Content and Post it Online as Their Own
4. Writers who Prepare Content as Fast as they can without Consideration of Quality

You see, using software that merely changes words around is cheating, it is unethical, and it is a shortcut. It clutters the search engines with garbage content, and it floods the Internet with content that no one wishes to read. As more online users encounter this sort of information, they become turned off to it, and this hurts all writers and article authors at all levels. It hurts the beginners who are really trying to hone their skills and better their talent. And, it makes a mockery of the entire online article author sector.

Imagine that you are a foreign author and article writing individual who does not possess strong English writing skills, and rather than working hard to make your writing correct, you simply produce content as fast as possible and post it online. In essence, even though you are perhaps less than adequate, and hope one day to become a better writer in the English language, the result is the same as if you were using derivative style writing software. That is to say your articles are unreadable, and those that click on them, and start to read them get a very negative impression. Again this hurts all authors of articles everywhere.

Those that copy content online, and rewrite the articles they find or perhaps collect information from Wikipedia, and rewrite that content into bite-size articles are not helping the online reader. After all, in many ways it’s just duplicated content that is already available online. It’s not really needed, and therefore it is not helping anyone; certainly not the reader who invests time in reading whatever has been written using this methodology.

That is truly unfortunate indeed, and it’s not really fair, especially for those that do research, have experience, and knowledge in a certain area or human endeavor. Basically, you are stealing readers which may have come to their website, and brought those readers to your website instead, and rather than rewarding them with quality content, you have tricked them. You can see why this hurts the online article venue.

Lastly, those authors who packed their articles full of keywords to garner search engine optimization without producing quality content are equally tricking the reader, and it’s just not fair. You see, you can produce quality content, and do it correctly, and it may not be as hard as you think. Why not invest in some books on writing articles and hone your writing skills; promise yourself to improve your writing a little bit each and every day. As long as you are working towards those goals with constant improvement, you are joining the ranks of those that take the profession seriously.

Now then, there are three books I’d like to recommend to you, and these are books that I own myself in my own personal library. They have helped me immensely, and I hope they will help you too. The names of these three books are;
